The Power of Yoga:
I believe one of the most amazing benefits of Yoga is that it allows you take a break away from the busy-ness of life–allowing you to completely relax your mind from all the thinking & stress…while strengthening & toning your body in ways not many other forms of fitness can.
Some of the benefits of a consistent yoga practice include: increased strength–while balancing all muscle groups, (no more super strong quads, but weak hamstrings) natural weight loss, greater flexibility, toned muscles, improved balance, reduced stress, and inner peace with a more relaxed mind. As a busy mom, who stays at home–while running a business, yoga has been the most incredible way for me to have time just for me while experiencing amazing differences in how my body feels & looks.

I am a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT) with The Yoga Alliance. I completed a 200 hour teacher training program with Karen Soroko, E-RYT of Yoga Prairie in the summer of 2007. I was blessed with an opportunity to learn from Ranjani Cobo, who studied and apprenticed in India with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and B.K.S. Iyengar. I will soon have the E-RYT designation as an experienced yoga teacher with over 1,000 hours of teaching.
After teaching at Blue Hills Rehab & Fitness Studio, I opened my studio in the fall of 2007 at my home in Chetek. I taught regular classes through the fall of 2015, when our family re-located to Eau Claire. With so many committed students, I decided to teach in Bloomer during the transition at Midwest Physical Therapy & Fitness Center. I was blessed that so many of my students came with me and taught there a little less then a year. I hope to offer classes monthly in Bloomer soon. I was recently given an awesome opportunity to teach in Eau Claire, close to where we built our home–at The Yoga Room, with some of the best teachers in the area!
I teach Hatha Yoga–that I would describe as a combination of Iyengar & Ashtanga–classes with an emphasis on proper alignment and holding strengthening poses to achieve incredible benefits, with some flow. Classes are multi-level–from beginners to advanced students–and all fitness levels. Poses can be modified to fit any level.
